2) Go to quizlet.com, type "ser" in the search bar, choose a set/activity, play either "scatter" or "space race". You might try any of these:

¡Hola clase!

 

Ok... here's your tarea (homework) for semana 2 (week 2):

 

1) Always review the material that we covered in class, por favor. Remember to study out loud!

 

2) Send me fotos of las personas (y los animales) importantes in your life... to kdespot@hotmail.com. Write a few sentences or a paragraph about these people using information from the handouts and any other source you have. Bring the writing to class.

 

3) If you go to YouTube and search "hablamos espanol", you'll find a series of videos produced by the Germans to learn Spanish. They are campy, often hilarious, and pretty easy to understand. Start with the first one : www.youtube.com/watch?v=7f3Mv9QgznY. If you get to some grammar lessons in German, just forward past them and you'll find more situational videos.

Semana 1 (Week 1)

 

1) Review the Spanish that we learned today in class. At our next meeting we will review how to greet people, introduce ourselves, and tell how we're doing. Let's really learn those numbers, too! Also, practice asking and answering how many of something there are, how much something costs and if someone likes something.

 

2) To begin practicing your listening skills, go to this video on YouTube... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ordJF49AA8g... and watch segments of it two or three times. Write down the words that you understand and bring your list to class. The video is about traveling in Perú... a magical place! ¿Te gusta viajar?

 

Do as much as possible of the above assignments. The more you can do, the faster Spanish will be a part of you.
