¡Hola! I'm Kelly Bates. I teach Spanish at Santa Monica High School. I'm passionate about helping young people become functional using real world Spanish. No matter what career path you choose, being bilingual is one of the greatest assets you can acquire. It will open doors, both professionally and personally. When we enter into another culture, our minds broaden and our hearts become more compassionate. Language opens the door to culture and to a world that supports peaceful co-existence.

ABOUT ME

I love the natural world. Most of my free time is spent outside... riding Hasha, playing or hiking with my dog Barnabas, working in the garden, or just sitting on the deck enjoying the beauty of Topanga.
